The Long Night at a Glance


About 80 chances to dip into another exciting world. Roam through the painting galleries and festive halls of palaces, take a look at 18th century lecture halls and high tech labs, discover favourite pieces, depots and secret corners.

€18, concessions €12, children up to 12 years have free admission. 

Concessions are available with a valid ID to students, pupils, trainees, those on unemployment or social benefits and the disabled. Tickets are valid from 6pm for entry to all participating museums, the use of the shuttle buses, the boat and Trabi shuttles, and public transportation in Berlin (zones ABC) from 3pm to 5am.

Advance Sales

Tickets can be purchased from 1st August in all participating museums, at theatre box offices (with a service fee), in the Berlin Tourist Info centres, at Berlin public transport ticket machines (no concessions), customer centres and sales offices, and online here. 

On 27 August, 2016 tickets can be bought at from 12pm at Lustgarten (Museum Island), from 5pm at the Kulturforum Potsdamer Platz, and in all participating museums.

Through the Long Night 

Shuttle buses on nine different routes take Long Night guests right to the doors of almost all the museums. Four shuttle bus routes start and end at the Kulturforum. The stops of each route are listed here on the website. Make the most of the U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus connections – the Long Night ticket is valid for these too! 


Bring your kids along! Lots of exhibitions and events are suitable for families. Some museums start their programme for children earlier in the afternoon (Berlinische Galerie, Botschaft der Mongolei, Deutsches Historisches Museum, Labyrinth Kindermuseum and Machmit! Museum für Kinder).

Wheelchair Access

Museums that are accessible for those in wheelchairs are marked in the programme booklet, as well as those that can be visited with an attendant. All buses are all accessible by wheelchair.
